Change of the authentication method for logging into the Union Registry

On 21 September 2020, a new user authentication method using the mobile application EU Login Mobile and a QR code was launched. This method is used to log into the Union Registry and to sign all operations. During the following year, this method of user authentication will replace the currently used method of SMS codes sent to a registered mobile phone.

The manual for adding a mobile device to the EU Login account, installing the EU Login Mobile application and logging in to the Union Registry for the first time can be found here.

The mobile application works offline, so you don't need to be connected to the internet to use it.

Once a user has chosen to log in via the application EU Login Mobile, he will have to use this method for all subsequent logins.

The new way of user authentication is safer and more reliable than using SMS codes, so we recommend that users do not delay the transition to the EU Login Mobile application.

From 1 October 2021, it will not be possible to enroll users in the Union Registry without authentication using the EU Login Mobile application.

From 7 January 2022, it will no longer be possible to login to the Union Registry using an SMS code.
